Danny Painter is born and bred entertainment. Her C.V reads like a shopping list of performances and exciting projects. Performance is in her blood with notable entertainers guiding her journey from both sides of her family. Born on the East Rand, where she still lives today, she refers to herself proudly as "born and bred Brakpan". Danny stepped into the spotlight at the tender age of 6 years old in her first stage performance. From there her decades long career skyrocketed. From performances at the State theatre to writing, directing and performing award winning mime pieces she was scouted in her matric year at Pro Arte Alphen Park to become the youngest presenter on Multichoice Dstv's flagship youth channel "Go". She flourished in this new environment, becoming the voice of the channel and igniting her passion for voice acting and presenting. She moved on to the SABC where she presented a live daily children's programme and continued to act as much as she could in her spare time, starring in various independent art films for the European market. She has also been privileged to voice act in animated series and record spoken word for prominent house producers and DJ's. Danny's radio journey began ten years ago when she was unsure of what path to take after children's television. She has worked on various internet and community stations and most recently has joined Jacaranda fm. She is incredibly proud to be part of the Jacaranda fm family and has her sights set on big things. She is heavily involved in her community and has become an ambassador for Rhino Connect as a voice for the plight of the private rhino owner and the conservation of the species. In her downtime she prefers to shy away from the "VIP world" and spends time with her husband finding rare and antique books to add to her library and chasing ball with their five Border Collies. She is the perfect balance of professional and heart, and she will bring warmth and love to anyone who meet her.
